steinway & Sons Spirio, the world’s finest high resolution player piano, presents international sensation Steinway Artist Ludovico Einaudi. An Italian pianist and composer with a classical background, Einaudi has created his own musical language that has the power to touch all listeners. During his recent North American tour, he visited Steinway & Sons' Spirio studio in New York to record some of his most famous compositions — just for spirio owners. Our spirio sync video this month features Einaudi performing his popular “I Giorni” (The Days).
Another debut this month brings one of the hardest-working jazz pianists to spirio. As soloist and sideman, Adam Birnbaum has performed at the best-known jazz venues and worked with many of the jazz legends of our time. His sharp, concise and ever-creative style focuses on a series of jazz standards for Spirio, the first four of which are released this month.
The Theme and Variations form is explored in two very different ways; first from the famous Piano Pedagogue Carl Czerny, whose Variations on a Theme by Rode is brilliantly played by Steinway Artist Antonio Pompa-Baldi; And the exhilarating Variations for Piano, full of surprises, is expertly performed by Steinway Artist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort.
