Position Summary:
Steinway & Sons is currently looking for a Retail Administrator for our East Coast showrooms. The Retail Administrator will be responsible for providing operational, administrative, and event support assistance for assigned East Coast showrooms and store managers.
Main Responsibilities:
Onsite/Offsite Location Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to showrooms in PA, NJ, NY, CT, and FL.
• Handle all sales documents, posting and payment accounting
• Maintains regular communications with NY office to ensure proper reporting deadlines are met
• Maintains accurate records of vendor invoices, purchase order requests, and inventory files
• Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and placing and orders, and verifying receipt of supply orders
• Five-day work week with at least one weekend day; both weekend days preferred
Onsite Locations:
• Support and facilitate communication and logistics with freight/movers in connection with events, customer deliveries and shipping/receiving store inventory
• Supports customer interaction as necessary
• Contributes to team effort by helping out on projects as needed
• Provide operational support for special events when needed
• As directed by the store manager, manage and maintain showroom to ensure a clean and upscale image as well as a positive store experience
Requirements
• Qualifications, education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least two or more years of experience in a similar role
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive attitude and maintain a professional demeanor
• Superior planning, and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
• Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
• Candidates must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
