Heasook Rhee has performed with world renowned artists such as Ivry Gitlis, Ilya Grubert, Karine Georgian, Jian Wang, Tilmann Wick, Nicholai Gedda, Simon Estes at major venues in five continents, performing at the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, the Berliner Festwochen, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Beethovenhaus in Bonn, Tonhalle in Zurich, St. John's Smith Square in London, Salle Gaveau in Paris, MoMA in Dublin, Melba Hall in Melbourne, Australia, North Africa, and the Far East. She recorded on MD+G in Germany and broadcasted in the US, Germany and Switzerland.

Heasook Rhee has been a faculty member in Chamber Music and Collaborative Piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York since 1998, and taught at the University of Texas at Austin and Detmold Musikhochschule and gave masterclasses at festivals in the US, France, Germany, Austria, Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. Carl Fischer Music published her book “The Art of Instrumental Accompanying” in 2012 and the Chinese and Korean translations were published in 2016.

Her students have won international duo & chamber music competitions such as Vittorio Gui in Florence in Italy, Plovdiv in Bulgaria, and Balsam Duo Competition, Coleman, Liszt-Garrison, Yellow Spring in the US.

Magna cum laude graduate of Seoul National University, she studied piano solo with Rosina Lhevinne, Jacob Lateiner and Accompanying with Samuel Sanders at the Juilliard School. She received her doctorate in Piano Chamber Music & Accompanying studying with Eugene Bossart at University of Michigan.
